The Aging Revolution Summit

Presented by Northwell Health, the inaugural Aging Revolution Summit took place on December 3, 2024 in New York City and brought together an elite audience of Healthcare Luminaries, Fortune 500 Corporate Executives, Venture Capitalists, Private Investors, Philanthropists, Public Officials, Clinicians, Researchers, and Top Entrepreneurs all with a shared interest to drive strategic partnerships, optimize patient outcomes, and promote age-friendly conversations. The Summit served as a valuable opportunity to define and address the most pressing issues within the field, to embrace age-friendly practices and plan for the next chapter of aging medicine by exploring innovative solutions, debating the societal implications of increased longevity, amplifying the need to empower family caregivers, and, above all, calling on industry leaders to take an age-friendly approach to healthcare that will enhance outcomes for all. 


Speakers and participants came together to expand the dialogue on pathways to impactful programs and partnerships that will improve the lives of patients and caregivers alike. Some of the notable speakers included:

Also featuring Northwell clinicians and researchers, the summit addressed key themes, including new therapeutics and technologies extending lifespan, the social implications of longevity, support for family caregivers, and care for vulnerable seniors, such as senior planning and costs. Thomas H. Lee, MD, chief medical officer of Press Ganey, delivered a keynote address highlighting the critical need for stakeholders across health care to diligently build human connection for an aging population by harnessing the power of social networks.

This panel discussion recognized the indispensable role of family caregivers in supporting aging loved ones and will explore strategies to empower and support this often overlooked but essential demographic.

This panel discussion defined the transformative power of an age-friendly approach to healthcare for addressing aging as a complicating factor within larger care plans and for reshaping treatment modalities by unlocking new possibilities for longevity and well-being.

This panel discussion made the case for the power of partnership, insisting that no one system will win alone and that it will take working together across healthcare and across public and private sectors to bring about real change.

This keynote examined how those responsible for caring for older adults can support their overall well-being by fostering meaningful social connections in their lives, with a focus on strategies for combating isolation and fragmentation, ensuring that patients feel empowered, respected, and integrated into their communities, which in turn results in enhanced health outcomes.
