Traumatic brain injury (TBI) in older adults is a major cause of disability, however treatment guidance is hindered by limited clinical research among geriatric patients who have sustained this injury.
The National Academies Forum on Traumatic Brain Injury, Forum on Neuroscience and Nervous System Disorders, and Forum on Aging, Disability, and Independence will host a hybrid public workshop on October 21 to address this issue and more. Speakers will explore how knowledge gaps in geriatric TBI care could be addressed by emerging approaches in brain health science. Learn more on the event page.
